GENERATION: SELFLESS

The youth group of Intermountain Baptist Church, GENERATION: SELFLESS, meets Thursday nights from 6:30 to 8:00 PM. This small group is geared toward Middle School and High School students (grades 7-12) and emphasizes the Good News of Jesus Christ (1 Cor. 15:1-6), the Holy Word of God (2 Tim. 3:16-17), and learning what it means to live for His Kingdom call (Matt. 28:18-20).

When it comes to weekly meetings, serious Bible study is definitely the focal point. Prayer meetings, encouragement/accountability sessions, music fellowship, service projects, and game nights are also part of the group mix.

The youth have been blessed to use the Office Building's main common room as their meeting place. Student prayer requests, artwork, past study projects, and more cover this room's walls, providing a unique and personalized space to study and share.

  • Youth Leaders

The youth group is led by the Youth Director, Melanie Henderson, and by assistant Palmer Pattison.

Since my youth, God, You have taught me, and to this day I declare Your marvelous deeds. Even when I am old and gray, do not forsake me, my God, till I declare your power to the next generation, Your mighty acts to all who are to come. Psalm 71:17-18

  • The Mark

The youth group also meets Sunday mornings from 9:45 to 10:45 AM for Bible study and fellowship. Again, this class (known by the youth as THE MARK) is for all 7th-12th graders. Bible verse memorization, in-depth studies on the various books of both the Old Testament and New Testament, review games, prayer sessions, and more take place during this hour.

  • Coffee with Mel

On the first Sunday of every month, come enjoy coffee, cocoa, and tea with Mel and others in the group. This is a great time to pray, laugh, and get to know each other better! Don't miss out on this awesome fellowship hour from 9:45 - 10:45 AM.

  • Friday Night Study Right

Need some help with your homework? Or do you just want a quiet place to work on a school project and get feedback from your peers and youth leaders? Come to our Study Night! Usually scheduled once per month during the school year.
